Devil`s Town, Serbia, 2002
A unique natural phenomenon that due to its unnatural and spooky looks got the name, Djavolja Varos (Devil's Town) is the result of constant erosive process - the caps on the top protect the columns, while the rest of the dissolute is constantly washed away. The red earth columns and pyramids have various interesting shapes.

Fortress Maglic, Serbia, 1998
Fortress Maglic was built in 13th century. Its never mentioned in history who exactly built this fortress, but definitely some of the Nemanjic dynasty rulers. Maglic has great position on the top of the hill, above the Ibar river. With its 7 tower and a church inside massive walls, Maglic represents treasure of Serbian mediaeval military architecture.

Maglic fortress had the main role in controlling the traffic at the entrance of Serbia, as well as to protect the northern border of Serbian kingdom. Many fortresses from that period have legends on how there were built, so does Maglic. According to one of them, this fortress was built by "Cursed Jerina" a wife of Serbian ruler, so this fortress is known also as Jerinas Cursed Town.

Monastery Gracanica, Kosovo-Serbia, 2000
Gracanica Monastery one of Serbian King Milutin's last monumental endowments. It is situated in the village of Gracanica, 5 km. from Pristina. In past ceunturies, monastery Gracanica was center of spiritual life of Kosovo Serbs, especially after the Kosovo battle in XIV century. Today, the monastery keeps a significant collection of icons, the oldest one being the icon of Hrist Milostivi (Christ the Merciful) from the 14th century, unique by its dimensions (269 cm x 139 cm). Cause of potential attacks by ethnic-Albanian extremists; it is protected by the United Nations KFOR army.

Monastery Crna Reka, Serbia, 2003
Crna Reka monastery is a hermitage in the midst of the south Serbian mountains situated in the gorge of the Black River. It is surrounded by high rocks and lush vegetation. It dates from 13th century when a small church dedicated to the Holy Archangel Michael was built in a big cave. Soon the monks hermits built their cells around the church and erected a small draw bridge over the dry bed of the Black River.

Monk Georgije arrives at this monastery in 2003 and starts rebuilding of the monastery which was for more than 50 years in ruins. Today he lives alone in the monastery which does not have electricity, running water or phone line.
