Kids from Watts in front of CSDI Institute
(Community Self Determination Institute), an organization
founded by Aqeela Sherrills and staffed entirely by members
of the community, including ex-gang members. CSDI Institute
has wide range of activities : "patrol in the hood"
as a police support activity, after school activities for
kids, socializing program for persons who went out of prison,
and many other activities that help and support the development
of Watts community.
